Where to Stay Near SoFi Stadium with Kids: A Family Hotel Guide
We love a good sports trip with kids – finding the best hotels near Sofi Stadium for families with kids is not straightforward. Inglewood, where the stadium is located, does not have much to do for families at all, so if you will be spending more time doing non-stadium activities, consider staying in one of the nearby hubs described in this post.
Los Angeles is a very spread out city, where it can take almost an hour to drive from Santa Monica to Disneyland in Anaheim. It’s also famous for bad traffic everywhere (it’s unfortunately true), so you should assume 1.5x of the driving time indicated by Google Maps, and that’s not including time spent trying to find parking.
The good news is that SoFi’s location in Inglewood puts you within reasonable reach of some of the best family-friendly areas in greater LA – beaches, marinas, aquariums, and the iconic Santa Monica Pier.
This guide breaks down where families actually want to stay, organized by distance from the stadium, with honest notes on what you’re trading off in each area.

SoFi Stadium area (Inglewood)
The closest hotels within a mile or two of SoFi stadium are mostly budget motels and basic chain properties. The only hotel that has a decent rating near the stadium is The Anthem Los Angeles Stadium District.
Only do this option if you are just flying in and out for the game itself, otherwise, skip this option.
LAX Airport – ~4 miles west of SoFi
The LAX area sits between the stadium and the beach, which sounds ideal until you remember that it’s also one of the most traffic-congested corridors in all of LA – which means every beach trip and activity will cost you more time than Google Maps suggests.
The upside is real: these hotels cost significantly less than anywhere else in this guide.
Hotel June West LA
Hotel June has the most personality of anything in the LAX zone, and it earns its place on this list for families who want style without paying Santa Monica prices.

- π°π°
- Outdoor pool with free cabanas, poolside bar, and fire pits
- Caravan Swim Club serves Baja-inspired food for breakfast through dinner
- Free bicycle rentals; free LAX shuttle – good if you’re flying in
- 5.6 miles from SoFi Stadium; ~12-15 minutes without traffic
“Great location, really close to LAX, but also just a short drive from Venice and Abbot Kinney Boulevard.” – See more reviews
Hampton Inn & Suites LAX El Segundo
This is the most practical family option in the LAX zone – and it’s ranked #1 in El Segundo for a reason.

- π°π°
- Free hot breakfast buffet daily – waffle bar, eggs, the works
- Indoor pool
- Studio suites sleep families of 4-5 comfortably with sofa beds and wet bars
- 4 miles northwest of SoFi Stadium; roughly 10-15 minutes without traffic
“Clean and close to LAX. There’s some places nearby like In N Out. Free breakfast in the morning too. Bed was comfortable and made sleep quick and easy.” – See more reviews
Ayres Hotel Manhattan Beach LAX
Ayres is the more characterful option in this zone – a boutique hotel done up in European style with antique furnishings, courtyard fountains, and an outdoor pool and hot tub that feels a step above the typical airport strip.

- π°π°
- Outdoor pool and hot tub in a pretty French courtyard setting
- Complimentary beach shuttle – takes you to Manhattan Beach, 3 miles away
- Restaurant on-site (Spanish cuisine); parking available for a fee
- 4 miles northwest of SoFi; ~10-15 minutes to the stadium without traffic
- Free continental breakfast at some room rates – check when booking
“Super convenient location for my needs, nice clean place, easy parking, and the new restaurant is pretty great!” – See more reviews
Marina del Rey – ~10 miles northwest of SoFi
Marina del Rey is one of the better-kept secrets for families in the LA area. You’re 10 miles (20 mins) from the stadium, but you’re also steps from Venice Beach, walking distance to Abbot Kinney (one of the best streets in LA for food and browsing), and right on a 22-mile coastal bike path that kids love. Hotels here tend to cost less than Santa Monica while offering a similar vibe.
The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey
If you’re going to splurge, the Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey earns it through location more than anything else. Abbot Kinney Boulevard is a short walk away, and Venice Beach is about 2 miles. Rooms have gotten mixed recent reviews for feeling dated compared to newer Ritz properties, so temper expectations on the room itself – the setting and service are the draw.

- π°π°π°π°
- LA’s only waterfront outdoor pool, with poolside bar and sun loungers
- Bike rentals, tennis, basketball, and pickleball on-site – great for active families
- Sisley Spa for parents; Cast & Plow restaurant for farm-to-table meals
- About 10 miles northwest of SoFi; ~20 minutes without traffic
- Valet parking only – budget for that separately
“Always a great experience, a short walk to Abbot Kinney neighborhood or nice restaurants in MdR, great facility and staff.” – See more reviews
Marina del Rey Marriott
The Marina del Rey Marriott is the more accessible version of the Ritz next door – a solid upper-mid-range pick that overlooks Mother’s Beach and puts you right in the marina neighborhood at a significantly lower price.

- π°π°π°
- Outdoor pool and hot tub; bike rentals available
- Sinder Lounge serves Californian cuisine for breakfast and dinner
- Rooftop terrace with marina and ocean views
- Steps from Venice Beach Boardwalk; Mother’s Beach (calm, shallow water) a short walk
- ~10 miles northwest of SoFi; ~20 minutes without traffic
“Location was great, nice view. Venice Beach is very lively. There are restaurants close to the beach.” – See more reviews
South Bay Beach Cities – ~8-10 miles southwest of SoFi
Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach are proper beach towns – walkable, safe, with good restaurants, bike paths, and ocean access. More importantly, they’re southwest of the stadium rather than north, which means you avoid the worst of LAX traffic on your way to and from games. The Strand – the famous coastal bike path connecting Redondo, Hermosa, and Manhattan beaches – gives kids something to do every morning that doesn’t require a car.
Shade Hotel Redondo Beach
Shade is the best-reviewed hotels in this post. This boutique property sits right on King Harbor Marina in Redondo Beach with sweeping Pacific views from Palos Verdes to Malibu.

- π°π°π°
- Rooftop pool with marina views and sun loungers
- Free continental breakfast included
- Free bicycle rentals for exploring the Strand
- Sea Level restaurant on-site with harbor views

Westdrift Manhattan Beach, Autograph Collection
Westdrift feels more like a resort than a hotel, which is exactly what you want with kids. It sits a mile from the Pacific and next to a 9-hole golf course, with a large outdoor pool with cabanas, a CrossFit gym, pickleball courts, and enough space that everyone has room to spread out.

- π°π°π°
- Outdoor pool with cabanas; CrossFit gym and pickleball courts
- 9-hole golf course on-site – unique amenity for older kids
- Bike rentals available; 1 mile from Manhattan Beach Pier and sand
- ~9 miles southwest of SoFi; ~15-20 minutes without traffic
“Very well located, fitness center was well equipped, clean and open 24/7.” – See more reviews
Santa Monica – ~12 miles northwest of SoFi
Santa Monica is where you stay if you want the full LA beach experience – the pier, Pacific Park, the Third Street Promenade, easy access to Venice Beach and the bike path.
It’s the most expensive (and touristy) zone in this guide, and it’s the farthest from the stadium in terms of traffic (figure 25-40 minutes depending on when you’re traveling).
The Ambrose
The Ambrose is the kind of hotel that adults fall in love with instantly – a beautifully designed California Craftsman boutique inn tucked into a quiet residential neighborhood, four blocks from the beach. Complimentary Tesla house car to get you around Santa Monica, free beach cruiser bikes, nightly wine tasting in the lobby, 24-hour organic Groundwork Coffee, and L’Occitane bath products in every room.

- Complimentary Tesla house car service around Santa Monica
- Free beach cruiser bikes for exploring the area
- Nightly Santa Monica Sips wine tasting included; 24-hour coffee in the lobby
- ~12 miles from SoFi Stadium; allow 25-40 minutes depending on traffic
“The service was impeccable, great perks – coffee, wine, bikes, Tesla – and our room was great.” – See more reviews
Shore Hotel
Shore Hotel is the strongest all-round family pick for the best hotel near Sofi Stadium – and the location is hard to argue with. The pier, Pacific Park, and the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium are a six-minute walk.

- π°π°π°
- Heated outdoor pool, hot tub, and cold plunge; poolside bar and cabanas
- Blue Plate Taco on-site; Shoreside Restaurant & Bar for coastal dining

- ~12 miles from SoFi Stadium; allow 25-40 minutes on game days
“Great room, balcony, heated pool, concierge was the best part of our trip.” – See more reviews
Long Beach – ~16 miles southeast of SoFi
Long Beach is the counterintuitive pick in this guide – it’s in the opposite direction from Santa Monica and the beach cities, but that’s actually part of the appeal. IYKYK.
You bypass LAX traffic entirely, the drive to SoFi is a straight shot up the 405 or 710, and Long Beach itself has more family activities per square mile than anywhere else on this list.
The Aquarium of the Pacific is a full-day destination for kids under 10, whale watching departs from the harbor, Shoreline Village has a carousel and arcade, and Mother’s Beach offers protected calm-water swimming.
If your family is staying multiple days and wants things to do beyond the beach, Long Beach is worth serious consideration.
Fairmont Breakers Long Beach
The Fairmont Breakers is the highest-rated hotel in this entire guide. This is a fully restored 1920s landmark that’s a short walk from the Aquarium of the Pacific and the waterfront. Five restaurants and five bars means you’re never short on options, the rooftop Sky Room has breathtaking views, impressive, and the full-service Fairmont Spa is there for parents who need a reset.

- π°π°π°
- Outdoor pool, full-service spa with couples’ rooms, steam rooms and sauna
- 5 restaurants including Sky Room (rooftop views) and Nettuno (Italian, family-friendly)
- Short walk to Aquarium of the Pacific – the best kids’ attraction near any hotel in this guide
- Aquarium of the Pacific, Queen Mary, and Shoreline Village all within 2 miles
- ~16 miles southeast of SoFi; ~20-25 minutes without traffic via the 405/710
“Beautiful rooms and staff was very friendly.” – See more reviews
